So many people worry about the use of soy and the impact it might have on their thyroid. According to Audrey Sommerfeld, who is the Senior Vice President of the Visalus Marketing and Branding, and who works directly with the Scientific Advisory Board, reassures us with facts about the use and intake of soy. Visalus uses 3 types of protein in their Vi-Shake, one of which is soy. Ms. Sommerfeld presents us with facts about soy. It is a complete protein and because it is easily digested it has heart health benefits.
When I have introduced the Vi-Shake to people, a few have immediately backed off claiming they are allergic to soy!
There’s a lot of confusion and misinformation about soy. The fact remains that countries where soy consumption is high (like Japan) the people are healthier and have fewer health issues than all of us in America. Learn the facts first people!
There seem to be 3 main concerns with soy that Ms. Sommerfeld addresses. 1st, the concern is with raw soybeans that contain a form of acid that blocks mineral absorption. Due to how ViSalus processes the ingredients, it becomes a non issue.
The 2nd concern is with the components of soy, especially the isoflavones called “genistein and dadzein” which can affect and inhibit thyroid production and lead to thyroid enlargement. Vi-Shake soy has been processed to remove the isoflavones.
Another concern is the effect that soy might have on estrogen levels. This is due to the isoflavones, which have been removed so now its a non issue.
Ms. Sommerfeld reassures us that our soy is not genetically modified, its a non-GMO. We use the most natural form that has not been genetically modified.
So there you have it people. The facts. The product speaks for itself. I have been on for almost 3 years now and I have never experienced such great health. In the month of April alone, over 180,000 people joined the Body by Vi challenge and we await to see how many people will join the challenge in MAY. Will you be one of them?
